Meta Keywords is It’s a list of keywords and key phrases for each blog/page/post used mostly by search engines. Meta Keywords are a list of terms that appear in the meta keyword element in the HTML header of a web page. Originally, meta keywords were used by search engines as a signal to determine which keywords were relevant for a particular web page. Since search engines found that website owners were stuffing keywords that did not accurately reflect the content on the page, they dropped meta keywords as a ranking signal. In September 2009 Google’s Matt Cutt announced that meta keywords do not affect rank in Google’s algorithm.
